In most cases, the healing time for a Helix is longer because it is an external piercing on the outer upper part of the ear, which is more exposed to contact with hair and hands, unlike a Tragus, which is considered a more internal area and in the vast majority of cases heals faster because it is less exposed to contact with hair products and hands running through the hair.
