Ear Styling & Piercing
How It Works
At Collier, we turn the piercing process into a unique and enjoyable experience — thanks to our professional piercers and our exclusive, high-quality designs, all while maintaining the highest standards of safety and hygiene.
The Piercing Experience
Ready to elevate your look?
We at Collier are just as excited as you are for your personal piercing journey.
We recommend browsing our piercing collection first — link to our piercing earrings.
This way, when we meet, we can discuss your vision and offer ideas — whether it’s your first piercing or an addition to your current ones.
Our piercing earrings are crafted from 14K gold, set with diamonds and precious gemstones — designed to add a touch of light and movement to your look.
Placement & Angle
Our piercers at Collier aren’t just highly trained professionals (with a full year of anatomy studies and hands-on training) — they’re also the designers behind the Collier brand.
We believe your piercing should be an artistic, personal, and one-of-a-kind experience, with careful attention to matching each earring to the unique anatomy and angle of your ear.
We ensure that both new and existing piercings align harmoniously and precisely, creating the perfect ear design.
How We Pierce?
At Collier, piercings are done only with 14K gold earrings or higher.
You choose the earring you’ll wear from day one — no need to wait for healing before switching from a medical stud.
We use a sterile, single-use needle, which is the most recommended method — as it creates a tiny, clean space in the ear tissue, minimizing the chance of swelling or scarring.
Our process is done with utmost care and sensitivity, and the entire piercing takes about 30 seconds.
Once the needle is positioned, you take a deep, calming breath, we count to three — and it’s done!
The earring is inserted within seconds. Congratulations — it’s yours!
Safety & Healing
Your safety is our top priority.
All tools are disinfected and sterilized, and the piercer always wears protective gloves.
After your piercing, you’ll receive written aftercare instructions explaining how to care for it properly.
Diligent aftercare is essential to ensure a quick and healthy healing process.
Questions and answers
If you have no sensitivity to Emla, a numbing cream, you may arrive 20 minutes before your piercing appointment to apply it.
After the piercing, the piercer will clean and disinfect the pierced area to remove any remaining cream and prevent bacterial buildup.
Ages 16 and up.
Piercings for anyone under 16 are only permitted with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Quote from the law:
“In a business that, in whole or in part, performs body piercings for the purpose of wearing jewelry,
no person shall pierce the body of a minor under the age of 16, other than in the earlobes,
unless consent has been given by one of the minor’s parents or legal guardian.”
Of course!
If you’re planning to get another piercing in the future — or several — we recommend doing them all at once so your ear can heal together and you can avoid multiple healing periods.
Naturally, this recommendation depends on the placement and should be discussed with the piercer on-site, as long as it’s on the same ear (after all, you’ll need one ear free to sleep on 🙂
It’s recommended to get pierced with a straight stud earring, as it better suits the ear’s anatomy and allows for faster, easier healing.
However, there are a few specific areas of the ear that require a hoop earring during the piercing process.
Of course!
We often handle such cases successfully — whether it’s a piercing that’s too high, too low, enlarged, or beginning to tear.
Each case is unique, but there’s usually a solution. For example, a high piercing can be repurposed as a second-hole placement, with a new piercing created just below it.
In cases where a hole has stretched or reopened, we design custom earrings to conceal it — along with other techniques that can be discussed directly with the piercer.
The piercing itself is free.
The total cost depends on the price of the piercing earring you choose.
The piercing is performed using a sterile needle.
Piercings can only be done with the piercing earrings displayed on our Piercing Earrings page.
If you already own an earring that you’d like to move to a different spot on your ear, it can be used only if it’s made of gold and has been sterilized by us beforehand.
There’s no fixed healing time — everyone heals differently.
In most cases, it takes between 2 to 4 months, though sometimes healing can take up to a year, while in other cases, it’s barely noticeable at all.
The piercing itself can be a bit uncomfortable, and of course, the level of pain varies from person to person.
However, the procedure is very quick, and in most cases, the anticipation is far worse than the actual pain.
Our clients’ most common reaction?
“That’s it? I thought it would hurt much more!”
